How much does is cost to get into the fair?

General Admission is $10 per person age 10 and up and is free before noon every day! Check out our Hours & Tickets page for more information.


Do I have to buy general admission if I have a grandstand ticket?

Yes. See the Hours & Tickets page for more information on general admission.


When will I get my grandstand event tickets?

If you purchased your grandstand event ticket online and selected “Print at Home,” please check your email for your printable ticket. If you chose to have your tickets physically mailed to you, you should receive them within seven days of your order.


Can I purchase general admission tickets through your event ticketing service?

You can purchase individual admission tickets online. See the Hours & Tickets page for more information on general admission.


Where do I buy Grandstand Concert Tickets?

The official tickets.portercountyfair.com website is the ONLY place that will be selling Fair Concert or Grandstand performance tickets. To ensure you have authentic tickets, purchase only from the above URL. We cannot guarantee tickets purchased from other sites or people.


When is wristband day?

Wristbands are available for purchase everyday of the fair. See the Buy Tickets page for more information on wristbands.


Are there group rates available for admission?

When is the fair?

July 18–July 27, 2024 are the next 10 Best Days of Summer!


What are the fair hours?

4-H events begin daily between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
Food vendors begin preparing food around 11:00 AM.
Admissions gates start charging admission at 12:00 PM.
Carnival rides begin at 1:00 PM.
On weekdays, the fair closes around 11:00 PM.
On weekends, the fair closes around 12:00 AM.


How much is parking?

Parking at the Porter County Fair is always free!


When is Special Abilities Day?

Tuesday, July 23
Sponsored by Sunshine Community Center Network
Individuals with special abilities and a companion are invited to ride the carnival rides for free from 1PM to 5PM in a sensory-friendly environment where the lights will be dimmed and sound reduced.


When is Senior Citizens Day?

Wednesday, July 24
Sponsored by United Way
Seniors 62 and older and Veterans receive free General Admission.


When is Veteran Appreciation Day?

Wednesday, July 24

The Porter County Fair is honored to host Veterans Day again at the fair. Veterans and military personnel are invited to visit the fair for free on Wednesday, July 24th. Plus, we will have Veteran-related services set up in the Park Place Pavilion from 5 PM-7 PM, and a performance by the Valparaiso Community Band at 6 PM. Then at 7 PM, our featured speakers will take the stage!


When do the show animals arrive?

There are 4-H Animal shows throughout all 10 days of the fair.


Where is the Fair Office located?

Our address is 217 E. Division Road Valparaiso, IN 46383. The Fair Office is located in the Expo East building, facing north on the Midway.
The Porter County Fair office does not have full-time employees.  Messages left on the office phone number will be returned, but not always in a timely manner.

Are dogs allowed at the fair?

Only service dogs and dogs involved in 4-H programming are allowed.


Is there an age restriction on Grandstand Performances?

No, there is no age restriction on concerts. But, concert goers age 3 and up require a ticket. Concert goers 2 and younger MUST remain on the parent's lap for the duration of the event. 


Do you sell alcohol at your concerts?

The Porter County Fair is a dry fair and we do not sell or allow alcohol on the fairgrounds.
